The National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine produced an Exercise Referral toolkit back in 2010. Some elements of best practice principles may have changed slightly since this was published – but it is considered to be the current guidance for E Ref Schemes in the UK. The toolkit aims to provide an easy-to-read, practical guide for professionals involved in exercise referral schemes. It has been developed in consultation with a range of professionals and key national stakeholders.
