We are pleased to be able to offer another 3, 24 week Steady on Your Feet programmes. These are free to attend and commissioned by the NHS. Suitable for people over 55 who are concerned about their balance, the FaME method that we use is evidence based to reduce falls and participants learn how to get down to the floor and back up as part of the programme. Help with transport is available where needed.

When it comes to being motivated to take action towards your health goals, our approach is to encourage our clients to focus on what is really important to them. e.g. continuing to live independently at home, getting back to cycling with friends, being able to keep up with the grandchildren etc. We all have different things that are really important to us.

We would love to hear from you if you would be willing and able to give some time and share your expertise.
We are a Community Interest Company, limited by guarantee, and therefore use the term director, rather than trustee. However, essentially, the role and responsibilities are the same. The board meet about 4 times each year, depending on current projects, and you would be expected to attend these meetings wherever possible. This can be in person or remotely. In addition, if you are able to give further time to steering projects, it would be very welcome but not essential.
We hope to hear from you - questions are welcome. ... See MoreSee Less

Important information if you are attending appointments or visiting NDDH.The number of people with flu, COVID-19 and RSV remains very high across the county and we are caring for a significant number of very unwell people.
If you have symptoms of a respiratory illness but still need to visit our sites we ask that you wear a fluid resistant mask to help limit the spread. If you do not have a mask our colleagues can provide you with one.
Thank you. ... See MoreSee Less
